Pruning & Thinning
Pruning and thinning decisions require clear objectives. The best time to prune trees is at the start of the growing season, this is typically March/April. At this time of year the sap is rising and this will lead to the pruning wounds healing more quickly reducing the possibility of rot setting in.. Reshaping, Crown Raising and Balancing
This is all about ensuring the tree is the appropriate shape for its environment. For example when the crown has become too heavy to be supported safely by the trunk and lower branch network. or a heavy crown is restricting light. It may also be a safety issue since a low crown could cause danger to passers by.
Another factor is deadwooding. It is very important that this aspect be done as soon as practically possible for two reasons.
- Dead wood is very unpredictable and could fall at any time endangering passers by or property.
- Dead wood spreads and more of the effected area will die away if it is not removed.

Our up to date equipment allows the removal of tree stumps with the minimum of ground disturbance.We tackle any size of stump, from just a few inches up to the largest stump imaginable.
